Plan and billing

Your trial, choosing a plan, and managing payment.

Billing is under Settings → Plan and billing, for admins. Payment is handled by Stripe; Standby never sees your card. The rules are on Billing, cancellation and refunds.

Your trial

A new workspace gets a 30-day trial of Business, with no card. It starts when your Standby stack first reports in, not when you sign up. The panel counts it down.

Choosing a plan

  1. Choose Monthly, or Yearly, two months free.
  2. Read the renewal terms beside each plan: they show what you'll pay for your own number of seats.
  3. Choose Subscribe to Team or Subscribe to Business, and pay on Stripe's page. Billing addresses must be in the US.

Seats follow your workspace: inviting someone adds a seat, and removing or disabling someone lowers the count at your next renewal.

Managing billing

Manage billing opens Stripe's billing page: change your card, billing address or tax ID, see invoices, switch plan or interval, or cancel.

If a payment fails, or the trial ends

  • Trial ended without a plan: paging carries on for 7 more days with settings read-only, then pauses.
  • Payment failed: 14 days to update the card, then settings become read-only; paging pauses at 28 days.
  • Read-only stops changes to rules, rotations, people and settings. It never stops turning a rule off, removing access, acknowledging an incident or putting a queue back to normal.
  • Paused: figures still arrive and show, but rules page nobody, and queue changes from the app aren't allowed. Paying restores paging at once.
  • Admins are told before paging stops: in the console, and on their phones.
