Workspace settings
Notifications, what they may say, cover approvals, and Contact-IQ support access.
Two-step sign-in
Under Two-step sign-in, choose Set up two-step sign-in to require a code from an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password) as well as your password. Add the key it shows to your app, enter the 6-digit code, and choose Turn on. From then on, signing in to the console and the Standby app asks for a code. Each person sets this up for themselves. If your workspace signs in with your own identity provider, that provider's two-step rules apply instead, and this isn't shown.
Your notifications
Settings → Notifications chooses which pushes reach you. Everyone sets their own; it's also in the phone app.
- Alerts that call at any hour are always on.
- Other alerts, On-call changes, Actions by colleagues and Contact-IQ support access can each be muted.
Muting stops the push, not the record: everything still appears in the app and the audit trail.
What notifications may say
By default, a notification on a locked phone says only that something needs attention, never your queue names or numbers, because notifications pass through Apple's and Google's services. An admin can choose Include the queue and rule under What notifications may say — everyone in this workspace. It applies to everyone, so treat it as a decision about your data.
Cover requests
Shift swaps and time away: Apply at once, or An admin approves first (Business). Changes starting within an hour, and changes made by admins, always apply at once.
Your workspace data
Admins can choose Download workspace data to get one file (JSON) with everything the workspace holds: people, sign-in accounts, rotations, time off and cover, rules, incidents, queue changes, drills and settings. It includes everyone's names, email addresses and mobile numbers, so store it carefully. Each download is recorded in the audit trail. Device keys, notification tokens, calendar links and connection secrets are left out. The audit trail itself downloads separately, as CSV, from the Audit page.
Contact-IQ support access
Contact-IQ support can only see your workspace in a session you can see: with a reason, a time limit (an hour by default), read-only, and no access to your AWS account. A live session shows at the top of Settings with End access now.
Under How support access is authorized, choose Announced access (the default: you're told, and can end it) or Approval required (nothing happens until someone in your workspace approves). Every session is listed under History.
