Getting started in the console

Sign in, find your way around, and follow the setup checklist.

The Standby console is at console.contact-iq.com. It's where you set up who is on call and what's worth waking them for. Acting on incidents happens in the phone app, where the person on call is.

Signing in

  1. Enter your Workspace code and choose Continue. If you came from your workspace's sign-in link, it's already filled in, and your browser remembers it afterwards.
  2. Enter your Email and Password. If your organization uses single sign-on, you'll see Continue to your provider instead.

Signing in for the first time with a temporary password, you'll be asked to choose your own. Forgotten it? Choose Forgot your password?, and we'll email you a code. The console signs you out after 15 minutes without activity, with a two-minute warning.

The five tabs

OverviewOpen incidents, who is on call now, your rules, current queue figures, and how ready the workspace is.
On-callRotations, the people who can be paged, and the after-hours calls guide.

SettingsPlan and billing, notifications, what notifications may say, cover requests, support access, and who can sign in.

The Getting started checklist

A new workspace shows Getting started on Overview: eight steps that tick themselves off as the work is done, and then disappear.

  1. Queue figures arriving from Amazon Connect.
  2. Two branches checked in your contact flows. See Check two branches in your contact flows.
  3. People added. See People.
  4. A rotation built. See Rotations.
  5. Alert rules written. See Alert rules and shadow mode.
  6. A rule promoted to live.
  7. Everyone reachable: the app installed with notifications allowed, and a mobile number for calls.
  8. A practice drill run. See Readiness and practice drills.
