Install the app and sign in
Get Standby on your phone and sign in to your workspace.
Standby is on Google Play for Android phones. The iPhone app is with Apple for review and will be on the App Store shortly.

- Install Standby from Google Play (Android) or, once it’s there, the App Store (iPhone), and open it.
- Enter your workspace code and tap Continue. Your admin has it, and it's in the sign-in link they sent. The app remembers it; to switch workspace later, tap change next to it.
- Sign in with your email and password. First time? Use the temporary password from the email "You've been invited to Standby" (it lasts 24 hours), then choose your own: at least 12 characters, with upper and lower case, a number and a symbol.
Forgotten your password? Tap Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen, and we'll email you a code. If you've turned on two-step sign-in, you'll also be asked for a code from your authenticator app.
If your organization uses single sign-on, you'll see Continue to your provider instead, and come straight back to the app afterwards.
Staying signed in
- After 15 minutes without use, Standby locks. Unlock with your fingerprint, face or phone passcode; you're still signed in.
- Every 30 days you sign in again in full.
- Tapping a notification while it's locked asks you to unlock first, then opens the incident.
Next: Enroll your phone, so notifications reach you and you can act on a queue.
